All three seed varieties are open-pollinated.
Beans will mature between 55 and 70 days, depending on variety.
Direct seed: Sow seeds 1" deep, spaced 3" apart in rows 4' apart after soil temperature exceeds 60°F (mid May?). If using poles, plant 4-6 seeds at the base of each pole. White-seeded beans are generally more sensitive to cold soil temps than dark-seeded varieties
Harvest when beans are about the diameter of a pencil. Frequent harvesting encourages more pods to set.

Consumption
Can be enjoyed fresh or cooked. Some varieties have strings that can be tough and fibrous; they should be removed before consumption. Strings can be removed by snapping off one tip and pulling down along the seam of the pod.
