All three seed varieties are open-pollinated.

Beans will mature between 55 and 70 days, depending on variety.

  • Direct seed: Sow seeds 1" deep, spaced 3" apart in rows 4' apart after soil temperature exceeds 60°F (mid May?). If using poles, plant 4-6 seeds at the base of each pole. White-seeded beans are generally more sensitive to cold soil temps than dark-seeded varieties

  • Harvest when beans are about the diameter of a pencil. Frequent harvesting encourages more pods to set.
