  • Giant pumpkins require up to 150 to mature. This extended growing season will require a greenhouse, high tunnel, or other season extending structure in order to achieve the large pumpkins.

  • Sow seeds in pots indoors 120-150 days before intended harvest. Seedlings should be transplanted 10-14 days after germination, which may still be in anticipated frost days. Protect seedlings from frost as much as possible.

  • Pumpkins require consistent water and fertilizer throughout the growing season.

  • Giant pumpkins require proper training of vines, fruit selection, and pollination. Please see website for more detailed information.
