Basic Planting Information:
Giant pumpkins require up to 150 to mature. This extended growing season will require a greenhouse, high tunnel, or other season extending structure in order to achieve the large pumpkins.
Sow seeds in pots indoors 120-150 days before intended harvest. Seedlings should be transplanted 10-14 days after germination, which may still be in anticipated frost days. Protect seedlings from frost as much as possible.
Pumpkins require consistent water and fertilizer throughout the growing season.
Giant pumpkins require proper training of vines, fruit selection, and pollination. Please see website for more detailed information.
